Third Eye Cinema 7/21/13 with Sono Morti

This week on Third Eye Cinema: eerie gothic western stylists Sono Morti! Forming back in 2008 as yet another side project of horror punks The Vladimirs and consisting of 3/4 of that band, this is a different matter entirely: a dark, brooding soundtrack for a horror movie that never was. Their self titled debut record is an unusual and extremely atmospheric musical venture, tapping equally into the more haunting strains of old school country western, the eerie soundscapes of Ennio Morricone, and the more mournful moments of Danzig, Southern Death Cult and Nick Cave!
